I had no idea how hard it would be to find the perfect bridal lingerie. In fact, I thought that the lingerie would be so easy to find that I waited until a week before my big day to go and pick out something special.
I guess I should have given it more forethought since your wedding night is such a special evening, but I had become so preoccupied with all of the other details of the wedding that I had waited to the last minute to find the perfect bridal lingerie. A mistake that almost lead me to my first bridezilla moment.
A week before my wedding I decided to go to the mall to find my bridal lingerie. There were two lingerie stores in my mall and a couple of department stores so I was pretty confident that I would be able to find something nice. I started my trip at the two lingerie stores.
Since my wedding was in the winter I saw tons of special holiday lingerie, but only a few different styles for brides. None of the lingerie that either store had was even remotely close to what I was looking for. I wanted something sexy yet elegant enough for my wedding night.
The first store had an awful long satin white gown and then an all white get up that looked like a French maid costume. I was completely disappointed. The second lingerie store was no better.
As I headed into the department store I started to feel the panic rise up inside of me. I realized that I probably should have placed more importance on finding the lingerie for my wedding night.
I sulked through the department stores one at a time listening to sales clerks tell me to check out the lingerie stores in the mall. I will admit, I was close to having a break down of epic bridezilla proportions.
I decided that I needed to buy something, so I ventured back into the first lingerie store and sadly looked at my options.
I was leaning towards the all white maid get-up when the clerk approached me. She saw the desperation in my eyes and whispered to me, “Go online, you will find a much greater selection.”
Although I didn’t know if I’d have enough time to have something shipped out I heeded her advice. I went home, jumped online, and started browsing through the huge selection of bridal merchandise.
Within minutes I found exactly what I had in mind and saw that the retailer offered expedited shipping. I couldn’t have been more relieved!
