Denver Business Journal's Elite Award Names Top 11 Finalists

Englewood, CO – July X, 2010 – Alicia Vargo, founder of Pampered Passions Fine Lingerie, has been selected as a finalist in the Denver Business Journal's Outstanding Women in Business Award. 

In it's 12th year, this award honors the accomplishments of 11 women in different industries who have achieved great success through leadership in business and community contribution. Nominees in each category are judged on innovation, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishments and community leadership.

“I feel incredibly honored to be selected among this elite group of successful women. It is my mission to make every woman feel nurtured at all times and I'd do it even if no one ever noticed,” Vargo says.

Vargo is a finalist in the “Small Business Owner” category for not only being a successful business woman in Denver, but also for her endless work in the community to support and raise money for breast cancer and through her volunteer work and donations for Dress for Success an organization that helps disadvantaged women get back on their feet.

Outstanding Women in Business winners will be announced on August 26, 2010 at a luncheon at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Denver. The program includes a keynote address from Christina Gold, CEO and Director of Western Union and the 2009 Outstanding Women in Business winner in the Banking & Finance category. The 2010 Outstanding Women in Business finalists and winners will be profiled in a special section in the August 27th issue of the Denver Business Journal.
