The most popular style of women's sleepwear, specifically lingerie sleepwear, is the negligee and robe sleepwear set. Women's negligee is a general term for a woman's nightgown, or night gown. Negligees are available in a variety of styles and lengths. The lingerie babydoll is the shortest of nightgowns, with a length at mid-thigh or higher. The lingerie chemise, or sleepwear chemise, is longer than the babydoll and falls between mid-thigh and the knee. Women's nightgowns are the longest and range in length. Short nighgowns range from just below the knees to above the ankle, while long nightgowns fall between the angle and heel.
